The SEND reforms, which came into force in September 2014, bring
a number of positive changes to the system for children and young
people with SEND and their families. They will give parents, carers
and their children a greater say in decisions relating to them.
The aim is to help children and young people achieve, attain and
enjoy their time at school and lead happy and fulfilled lives.
